Adventure on your doorstep
A mere 3 miles away lies The North Yorkshire Water Park. From the AquaPark obstacle course to zip lines, axe throwing to Saturday Park Runs, there’s so much to do. Or simply chill out at their lakeside café.

Scarborough
The seaside town of Scarborough is only 8 miles away. Enjoy the sandy beaches of North and South Bay. Or take in a show at the renowned open air theatre. There’s lots of fun holiday activities and some fantastic places to eat and drink.

Stunning Yorkshire coastline
As well as Scarborough, day trips to Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay, Filey and Bridlington are all within reach from Gallows Hill.

Idyllic Yorkshire countryside
Gallows Hill lies just south of the famous North York Moors National Park. This includes the mountain biker’s paradise of Dalby Forest.

North York Moors Railway
10 miles west from Gallows Hill lies the picturesque market town of Pickering. From here you can take the heritage trainline – as seen in Harry Potter – across the moors all the way to Whitby.

The Walled Garden at Scampston Hall near Malton
The Walled Garden is a must for any keen gardener. It’s a Piet Oudolf garden, who also designed The High Line public park in New York.

Castle Howard, near York
As seen in Brideshead Revisited and Bridgerton, this stately home offers a grand day out.
